Studio Projects:John Sawoski has been in a Hollywood studio for part of March and most of April 2006, working for a client on two recording projects due to be released next year. Click above to watch a video clip of a scene (with music by John Sawoski), from a film called Showboy, which recently aired in 40 million households in the US. In this scene, the lead character tours the Liberace Museum in Las Vegas and fantasizes about playing a piece that sounds like something Liberace would play (actually composed and performed by John Sawoski). Most of the film score is composed by Daniele Luppi, who receives screen credit for the score. (John Sawoski is on the ASCAP Cue Sheet, and receiving payment for the music in this scene.)

Success of February “Canciones” Concert with Perviz Sawoski Inspires Benefit Show at Dance Arts Academy

“Canciones- Songs of Latin-American & Spanish Composers,” with Perviz Sawoski and Special Guests, musical directed by John Sawoski, in which Santa Monica College Corsair said that “amazing talents and devoted professionals” “aroused astonishment,” will be partially reprised at a Benefit Show at Dance Arts Academy in Los Angeles. The concert will feature vocalist Perviz Sawoski, legendary flamenco dancer Carla Luna, dancing to music by Astor Piazzolla and others, accompanied by John Sawoski on piano and violinist Alex Gorlovsky.
