Yiddish “Fiddler on the Roof” at the Soraya, Directed by Joel Grey
John Sawoski played keyboard for the Yiddish version of Fiddler on the Roof at the Soraya Center for the Performing Arts in Northridge, CA in September 2025. Charles McNulty, theater critic for the Los Angeles Times, said this production at the Soraya was “magnificent,” and “The orchestra, conducted by National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene Artistic Director Zalmen Mlotek, gracefully guided the flow of scenes.”
